Cotton, polyester or a blend: which towel or swim poncho suits your pool?
Parkmade supplies towels and swim ponchos in several materials. Each material has a slightly different balance between softness, weight and drying time.
Cotton
Cotton is known for being soft and absorbent, with a classic, quality look. Towels are available in 100% cotton; the swim poncho in 100% cotton (350 g/m²), a sturdier, warmer weight.
Polyester
Polyester is lighter and generally dries faster than cotton. Towels are available in 100% polyester; the swim poncho in 100% polyester (250 g/m²), a lighter weight than the cotton version.
Cotton/polyester blend
For towels there is also a cotton/polyester blend, which combines the softness of cotton with a slightly lower weight and faster drying than 100% cotton.
Which material suits your pool?
For a classic, soft towel, 100% cotton is a logical choice. Want a version that dries faster and is lighter, for example for heavy use at the pool? Then polyester or the cotton/polyester blend is a better fit. For the swim poncho, the same trade-off applies between the sturdier, warmer cotton and the lighter polyester.
